Organisation
Festa Kraftverk is artist-run, with no institution, museum, or school behind it. A small group keeps it going between summers: the funding applications, the program, the building, the exhibition. Everyone here does it alongside their own work.
Anders Schive Hoel

Anders started this. The residency exists because he saw a use for a power plant that had been left to the forest for fifty years, and then did the work of clearing it out and fixing it up.
He runs the organisational side: the year-round stretch between one summer and the next that makes a month in June possible at all. He develops the program with Moa and Ziggy, and sits on the jury.
Ziggy Zazu Kruisselbrink

Ziggy is responsible for scenography during the festival. He uses the time of the residency to experiment for the structures that will be made for the festival.
He facilitates the residency month itself, which in practice means making sure eight people with eight different ideas can all build them in the same building. He develops the program with Anders and Moa, sits on the jury, and is the person your questions and applications reach first.
Moa Adrienne Vrijman

Moa is responsible for the exhibition that closes the residency. The group decides the theme and the curation together; her job is to hold that process and then get the work installed and standing through Festafest.
She also keeps overview during the residency, residents can talk to her when something doesn't feel right. She also develops the program with Anders and Ziggy, and sits on the jury.
Arild H. Skarsem

Arild reads every application alongside Anders, Ziggy and Moa. He has a lot of experience in working in the art-world and especially in residencies. He drops by the residency about once a week to see how everybody is doing, drink a coffee and usually shares some casual wisdom.
He brings a perspective from outside the group that built the program, which keeps the selection from being three people agreeing with themselves.
Filippa Lande

Filippa works on funding, the applications to public funds that decide how much the residency can actually offer the artists who come.
Almost everything a resident receives, from the materials budget to the food to whatever artist fees we manage to secure, comes out of that work.
How artists are selected
The open call runs from 1 December 2026 to 1 January 2027. Once it closes, every application is read by the jury: Arild H. Skarsem, Anders Schive Hoel, Ziggy Kruisselbrink and Moa Adrienne Vrijman.
The jury discusses the applications together and keeps discussing until it reaches consensus. Nobody is selected on a count of votes. If we do not agree, we keep talking.
Once there is agreement, the selected artists are invited directly. The final selection is made on 20 January 2027.
Organisers who also make work
Moa and Ziggy have roles both as participating residents and as organisers, that's why their names show up in both pages on this website. They are present during the whole month of the residency but their places sit outside the open call and are not taken from anyone who applied. Anders runs the building and does not make artwork here.
If we secure funding for artist fees, those fees go to the artists selected through the open call. Moa and Ziggy are paid for organising, not as residents. They eat from the food budget and draw on the materials budget like everyone else, which the whole group works out together based on what people are actually making. If they want a fee for their own work, they apply for it themselves.
